Retin-A Review

Retin-A is a prescription acne treatment that is otherwise known as tretinoin. It is also known as Avita or Renova. It is a derivative of vitamin A, and it is the treatment of choice they say for regular mild to moderate acne, because it increases skin cell turnover getting rid of clogged pores among other things.
History of Retin-A
Retin-A has been so far used in concentrations of 0.1% or 0.4%. These were studied in a 12 week study that showed greater results than the placebo used to compare it to, and it is commonly among the first prescription used as it is only a topical route and of the most common ingredients. They also use benzoyl peroxide as one of the first choices, but Retin-A does not have this.

Possible Side Effects
Retin-A has been known to cause irritation, flaking, redness, sensitivity to the sun, dryness, swollen skin, blistering, wind or cold sensitivity, and otherwise.
Conclusion
We would not recommend using Retin-A at this time. It has too many side effects, is expensive, and frankly takes a longer time to work than is really wise or necessary. This formula will not help you to get rid of a significant amount of acne in some cases, and frankly even the 6-9 weeks it takes to just get started is often unbearable for some due to the side effects.
